our newest Fundraiser . . .
Are you tired of buying chocolate bars and raffle tickets to support your favourite causes? Well, we can understand that. So we have joined the Shop & Support team. This is a simple fundraiser-we sell gift cards that you can use for your everyday shopping. And the beauty of this program is that a gift card will cost you nothing more than the face value of the card. That's right - if you buy a $25 gift card, that's what you pay and what you get to spend. So you are really not out any more money then you would normally spend and our association makes a percentage that goes towards putting on the Beamsville Strawberry Festival.
Need a gift suggestion? How about a gift card to a favourite store-maybe even for something as simple as groceries, gas or to take in a movie? There are hundreds of different stores and companies represented on the list. But these cards aren't just for gifts-don't forget to get some for yourself, too. They can be used to do your every day shopping and even though it costs you no more then the face value of the card, you are helping our organisation. All the major stores are represented on this list!
The "Shop & Support" program is designed to help charities and non-profits raise money. For more information on this program, feel free to check out their website at www.shopandsupport.ca . We regularly receive "Shopping Guides" for you to look over. Please contact us if you would like one or if you want on our emailing list.
This is an ongoing fundraiser and we will be putting in orders regularly. How can you get involved? It's very simple:
Step 1: Look over the list of companies (on this website). Decide what cards you want. For example, if you normally spend $250 on groceries a month at Sobeys or Superstore, consider getting cards in that amount once a month.
Step 2: Fill out the order form with your choices (also on this website)
Step 3: Contact Jane Gadsby at strawberryfestival@bell.net or 905-562-5191 to arrange to get us your application and cheque before the deadline (below)
Step 4: We receive the cards about a week after the deadline and will contact you to pick them up
