Entertainment Lineup For 2010
Family Stage
10:00 am Festival Open Stage
That's right - first up on the Family Stage is YOU! We're letting anyone who wants to sing, dance or
try their hand at stand-up comedy onto the stage for 10 minutes to entertain us with whatever they do.
We'll provide the microphones and sound system - you provide the rest. Remember, you only get 10
minutes plus a minute or two to get set up, so keep it simple. Guitars, mandolins, banjos and other
portable instruments as well as CD or iPod music tracks are fine, but there won't be enough time to
set up a drum kit or multiple high-power amplifier rigs.
So, come out and start on your road to fame.
11:00 am The Strawberry Idol Finals
This is the final day for the 7th annual Strawberry Idol Voice Competition. It is open to public and
high-school-aged residents of Lincoln, Grimsby and West Lincoln. The winner of each age category,
as well as the overall Strawberry Idol, will be decided at these finals. However, the high calibre of this
year's entrants will make choosing a winner a difficult task.

Killiecrankie and Rathlin and has performed on CBC Radio's "The Vinyl Café". Most recently Allison
was nominated in the "Traditional Singer of the Year" category by the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Various psychological tools support the self-guided process allowing students to become empowered
and to take charge of their own growth and well-being. Nia is always fun and all that variety keeps
the muscles challenged and the heart pumping.
4:45 pm Tony Antidormi
A long time supporter of the Strawberry Festival and Strawberry Idol contest, Tony takes the stage
with a program for every member of the family.
Tony was born and raised in Niagara Falls. Music became a huge part of his life the night he saw the
Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. He is still a Beatles fan and loves playing their music,
along with that of Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash and some newer material from
Coldplay and Five for Fighting. Tony composed a number of songs for his children, which he sang to
them often. He later made an album of those songs called "Feel the Beat" so that other children
could enjoy the music.
Most recently, Tony has been performing at benefits and fund-raising events. He feels honoured that
the town of Lincoln asked him to perform at previous Canada Day celebrations. Music remains a
huge passion for Tony and he enjoys sharing it with others.
5:30 pm Strawberry Jam

Dave Russell (drums) and some special guests, for what they like to call "good-time R&B" - upbeat

feet!

11:00 am The Lincoln Concert Band
The only thing around older than the Beamsville Strawberry Festival is the Lincoln Concert Band.
Formed in the mid-1880's as the "National Band", it has been known as the "Beamsville Citizens'
Band", as well as other names. While the first 28 years were somewhat unstable, it has been
continuously active since 1908. The most recent name, the "Lincoln Concert Band", is due to the fact
it is now a regional band for Lincoln Township. Beamsville is one of many towns that are included in
Lincoln Township. For the last 40 years, the band has been practising on the second floor of "Bennett
Hall", the old Town Fire Hall.
The band's repertoire includes songs from the classics to Broadway and even Grammy Awardwinning
numbers. The band is conducted by Brenda Green, whose musical talents are well known
and respected in the musical community and throughout the Niagara Peninsula.
